The construction of the Villa started at the end of the 19th century when Mr. Taddei Castelli, the Elba mine director at the time, decided to have his own summer house in one of the most suggestive site of the island.

During the 2nd world war the Villa became, mainly due to its strategic position, a military base for the Germans first and for the Americans later on. In the fifties, thanks to the unique beauty of the location, the Villa turned
into a holiday paradise.

Today, after a long period of restructuring, the Villa can offer nine comfortable apartments, newly furnished with exclusive spaces.
